BROKEN VETERANS Hi, my name is Rodney Buckle and I'm an old-broken-down-Air-Force-Fuddy-Duddy...Here at the retirement home I have started what is called "Broken Veterans" The name for this program is most apt since all of us here are in various states of disrepair/despair/and abject poverty...So what I do is take donated old computer junk and put it together and make it work and place it in service with other disabled vets who would otherwise not be able to afford it...Beats the heck out of sitting on the back porch watching life pass you by...This is where YOU come in...If you just went through a computer upgrade, and have a bunch of old, slow junk laying around, DON'T THROW IT AWAY!!!Just click on one of those annoying little click-thingies on the left and I will relieve you of your dead pc junk burden...HOW COOL IS THAT? I'll tell everybody that it was all your idea, and you can be the hero...We've all done the hero thing around here, and quite frankly, its overrated...But you can do the hero thing and I won't tell a soul... But Wait, Theres More... Really, any old junky hardware will do...Man a 56K modem would be WAY out there on the cutting edge for us...Gotta dead printer with a fax/modem?...You guessed it...I'll pull out the modem part if I have to, and make it SING!!! Plus, I can use the left-over toner to play the "HEY NED, CAN YOU BLOW THROUGH THIS TUBING" trick...The one where when you blow on the coiled tubing it blows toner all over your face...he he he...Just don't tell Ned or you'll ruin it... |
